The “Cross-Japan Yakiniku Collaboration Council” was established by Iida City, Nagano Prefecture, and Kitami City, Hokkaido—both competing for the highest number of Yakiniku restaurants per capita in Japan—to promote the appeal of their unique “Local Yakiniku” culture and to encourage visitors to travel to their respective cities through Yakiniku.
We will hold a Yakiniku symposium themed “The Potential of Yakiniku Gastronomy Tourism,” focused on traveling while enjoying Local Yakiniku that has developed through unique regional industries, history, and culture.
